Every singer knows: One stays at the stage and notices, the tones are not coming the way “they should”. There are situations, in which it is important that one’s voice is there, no matter what; as a result the sound will be produced with force and the body will become tense.
Through the training of perception and mindfulness, we relax a bit more, therefore, we can use our Singing Technique in an optimal way.
With Yoga, the body awareness will be trained. A very important aspect is the natural flow of breath.
In the moment we bring our attention to a specific part of the body, thus relaxation takes place and the body starts opening up. The breath will be free flowing and the energy of the body can be used for generating the sound.
In this seminar we will understand about the following aspects:
- What can help me to sing free/and according to my capability?
- How can I awaken my studied technique in any moment?
- How can I use my potential, right from the start?
For the training of a relaxed voice, a healthy “muscle tone” in different parts of the body is a very important aspect, as all muscles and cavities of resonance are linked with each other.
Any restriction or blocked area interferes with the mechanism of the voice. In this way, the production of high tones does not need to be “pushed”; rather the vocal cords and all the muscles around the vocal system will allow stable and harmonious sounds.
In this seminar we will practice Yoga postures (Asanas) and we will explore internal body structures since they have a clear connection with the expression and production of the voice. We will learn to feel the quality of the sound we produce to be new.
